Re Elspeth  and the dungeons I was thinking less of shielding her from the queen than protecting HM from any more indiscreet comments:-)

Can't wait for the next installment.  I keep wanting to compare Mr. Carbury to Mr. Carson from Downton Abbey.  Both butlers are nothing if not very efficient at their jobs even if they're 100 years apart.

I quite like Carson.  :) I should hopefully have the next chapter up soon; my plan is to upload it on Monday night after I get back from DragonCon.
