[18:07] <KK> It was amazing.  Not usually my kind of music, but it was hypnotic.  And the costuming and staging were magnificent.

[18:10] <The_Bee> I had a course on Akhenaaten in sunday School  when I was a child.  He tried to introduce monotheism to Egypt.
[18:10] <KK> I'veen invited to my girlfriend's house for Thanksgiving.  She does Cornish game hends instead of turkey--which is fine with me.

[18:11] <KK> I actually also got another invite, but can't be two places at once.
[18:11] <Laurna> I learned the hard way with cornish game hens that you have to let them set a while after you cook them.  They were too juicy if you don't
[18:11] <The_Bee> glad people are thinking about you, KK.
[18:11] <KK> And if you overcook them, they get rubbery.
[18:11] <Laurna> That is why we do friday. so that every one can go to perspective families on thursday.

[18:12] <KK> I wonder what happens to the Cornish game--er, roosters?  Do they also get eaten?

[18:16] <Laurna> TD was in an accident a few weeks back
[18:16] <Laurna> We only heard about it this last week

[18:18] <Laurna> Also Revanne's husband goes in for a CT scan tommarrow. So I am wishing him the best of results.

[18:21] <~bynw> KK, DR posted this on the forum on Nov 14th
[18:21] <~bynw> I got a message from @TheDeryni that the reason we haven't seen him lately is that in mid-October, he was on foot and got hit by a truck; he was badly injured but he is in a rehab facility receiving physical and speech therapy to recover from his injuries.  So please pray/send energy/do what you do that he heals quickly and fully.
[18:21] <Laurna> Actually let us start that Health and Healing with Thanksgiving and carry it into christmas
[18:21] <KK> And beyond!

[18:21] <The_Bee> not yet.  I can't find my copy of the lease.  I'll have toask for the landlord's copy.
[18:22] <KK> Wow, hit by a truck.  He's probably lucky to be alive.

[18:25] <Laurna> So I am cleaning out my last bedroom to be tiled this week. Then I am hoping to put my house back together in time for decorating for christmas
[18:26] <The_Bee> sounds like a bigjob.  How many rooms do you have, laurna?
[18:26] <Laurna> I had water damage in that room when the water heater in the garage leaked. had to pull out the carpet and dry the walls.  so now it gets tiling.
[18:26] <~bynw> he was in the chat last sunday before the chat time started and said:
[18:26] <~bynw>  <@TheDeryni> I was in the hospital for a little over 3 weeks. Now I'm in a physical rehab center. Pick up truck creamed me. 16 feet in the air. Not fun.

[18:26] <KK> Good luck on that!  But my progress on the sottage continues.  Hope to get the estate auctioneers out this week.  Once all the furniture is out,--plus the dolls--we'll be down to the last of the stuff.  And we've got leads on someone to buy the dolls.

[18:28] <Laurna> KK did you rent the cottage? I thought you said you had a renter a few weeks back.
[18:29] <KK> No renter yet.  It's still got stuff, and then cleaning and some painting.  Hope to get it on the market by Dec. 15.  Not that just befire Christmas is a good time to be renting out property, but at least it will be up and running for right after the new year.  I'm also not sure I can get the painting done before then.
[18:30] <jerusha> Painting takes time, and a lot of patience
[18:30] <Laurna> too much work
[18:30] <KK> I had sopmeone who wanted to buy it, but too complicated, what with putting in a separate water meter, refdrawing property lines, and the like.
[18:30] <jerusha> Unless you are going for a spatter look
[18:30] <Laurna> Or money and have it hired out
[18:30] <The_Bee> KK, have you considered just selling your house and moving into the cottage?
[18:31] <Laurna> Sounds like it is one parcel
[18:31] <KK> Nope, partly because the cottage goes with the house.  And it really isn't big enough.  Big for a 2 BR 2 Bath, but I need 3+2.
[18:31] <jerusha> Not always easy to separate a piece of land
[18:31] <The_Bee> ah, ok
[18:31] <KK> No, it isn't.
[18:32] <jerusha> And that would be a LOT of downsizing
[18:32] <Laurna> My mom keeps wishing I would build a mother's cottage on my property.  too complicated and pricy
[18:32] <jerusha> Are your horses on your property Laurna?
[18:33] <Laurna> Yes
[18:33] <jerusha> Nice
[18:33] <Laurna> she wanted the side where the horses arnt.  but that is next to my neighbor and too close to my house if you ask me
[18:33] <jerusha>
[18:34] <KK> I had horses on the property back in California,but they do tie you down.  Someone has to feed and water and muck out while you're gone.
[18:34] <The_Bee> We love our parents, but.... we also need space.
[18:34] <jerusha> Yep
[18:34] <Laurna> Next to me, on the side of the horses, is a vacant lot, I have asked to buy it several times. but they will not seel.   that would be perfect for mom
[18:35] <Laurna> Twice a day
[18:35] <jerusha> That would be a nice piece of land to add
[18:35] <KK> It can be tricky enough with just dogs and cats.
[18:35] <Laurna> love the horses. they get me out of the house and mucking up their pens.
[18:36] <Laurna> I want to travel to England in a few years.  May have to find a ranch sitter when I go.
[18:36] <jerusha> The only horse I was ever near swished me with its tail. It hurt!
[18:36] <Laurna> LOL
[18:37] <Laurna> Your not supposed to be near the back end.
[18:37] <KK> Not as much as a hoof, or teeth.
[18:37] <jerusha> I would rather carry your suitcases for you.

[18:38] <Laurna> My friend Liz is moving back home next year and is already looking to buy a home in north Wales
[18:38] <jerusha> I would love to go to Wales
[18:38] <Laurna> So we will spend a few days with her and then hopefully a few days with Revanne. and then go to scotland.  Ready for it?
[18:38] <jerusha> If ever I learn another language, it will be Welsh
[18:38] <jerusha> I am totally on board!

[18:39] <KK> You couldn't pick a much more difficult one.
[18:39] <~bynw> when our community members meet up we all want to see pictures
[18:39] <Laurna> It is a dream that I hope to come true
[18:39] <jerusha> Perhaps, but it is the language of the gods
[18:40] <The_Bee> I once tried to learn some Welsh from a book.
[18:40] <jerusha> Or something like that
[18:40] <Laurna> I have enough trouble with Revanne's scotish brouge
[18:41] <jerusha> She is a master of that!
[18:41] <Laurna> I am like" what did your character just say?"
[18:41] <The_Bee> The Mabinogian orsomething like that.
[18:43] <jerusha> I want to go to Angelsey (might have spelled that wrong) and see the stone that commemorates Prince Hywel\
[18:44] <Laurna> Liz has been empting out her book shelves and gave me a whole bunch of books on english houses and cotages.   She says there is no reason to take those back to england with her.  so I have been gawking at all the lovely homes and country sides.
[18:44] <jerusha> And not craving any?
[18:44] <Laurna> Yes
[18:44] <KK> Craving many, I suspect.
[18:45] <Laurna> YEs  HEHE

[18:55] <KK> Gotta go.  Just got the call-back from American Airlines, trying to sort out my Christmas flights.  It's been a while since I signed in, and things have changed.
