[19:33] <@KK> The big but sad news, though, which Samuel may already have mentioned, is that we've had to pull the pin on Derynicon.  Just not enough people sent in their memberships.

[19:34] <@KK> Meanwhile, some of us will still gather in Harrisburg and have an unofficial con-lette.

[19:35] <@KK> I think there are a number of people in that position, so we should have a jolly time anyway.  (I just spoke to Frank before coming online, so that's the most up-to-date info.)
[19:35] <@KK> Yes, but we don't yet know how much the total will be.  I think many of us will pony up some cash to lessen the bite.
[19:36] <@KK> I think it's the economy, the fact that it's an election year, an unfortunate convergence of other obligations for that weekend....a lot of things.
