Deryni Anime/Manga

Apologies in advance if I put this in the wrong thread, but are there any anime/manga fans here, and which series do you think is more similar to the Deryni?

I watch a fair bit of anime and read a fair bit of manga.

There's a recent anime, Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, which might be a bit like the Heirs of St Camber trilogy in feel - a series of intellectual rebels against the geocentric doctrines of the church in a late medieval kingdom. I've not actually watched it though, so I can't be sure it's right.

The Heroic Legend of Arslan might be closer to the Kelson stories, with a young king who has lost his father struggling to free his kingdom - though it's more middle eastern than european.

For similar political themes, but very different settings, Legend of the Galactic Heroes follows space battles between two corrupt interstellar realms and the fallible heroes trying to fix them; while Apothecary Diaries is chinese-style court drama through the eyes of a serving woman in the imperial harem.
