Fortunately they were able to get out of the lease at the old place early with no penalty, given the circumstance.

The orthopedic shoes I found on Amazon do help a fair bit, but especially after a long day my feet still hurt. It's just more like a 2 on a 1-10 scale rather than a 6 or 7 like before.
