[18:24] <CG> [discord] <tm_9039> Yesterday was a local SCA event focused on arts and sciences. I'm the head of the dangers' guild. We did a performance, and had rounds of dances during the feast and court.  I was tiiiiired.  Taking it easy today.

[18:30] <KK> I did get a bone graft transplant, since there had been a lot of infection in the jawbone, but that took as well.

I think the companionship would do him a lot of good.  But there's a lot that would have to change with the division of household responsibilities between me and my husband for me to feel comfortable with adding a dog to our family. And I'm not sure that will happen. :/

[18:45] <The_Bee> Do you think your son's mature enough to help care for a dog?
[18:46] <CG> [discord] <ninjabbo.> I think he could be with enough consistency, structure and reinforcement. But both he and my husband have ADHD and my husband is not treating his, so there is a real lack of consistent structure.
[18:50] <CG> [discord] <evie.delacourt> If he is unwilling to take medication but wants some help with coping strategies for it, cognitive behavioral therapy can also help with ADHD.  So can some apps, when it comes to staying on task.  I personally like Finch, since there is a free version that works just as well as the paid version, just with fewer extra features.
[18:50] <CG> [discord] <evie.delacourt> But any app that adds a bit of gamification to staying on task can be helpful. There are some that are set up more like an RPG
[18:50] <The_Bee> My computer has been asking me if putting water on my toothbrush before brushing is a sign of high intelligence or ADHD.

[19:02] <CG> [discord] <evie.delacourt> No, they have been dealing with a baby with an ear infection and croup, so I was going to offer to give them a break for an hour or so

[19:03] <KK> I think I'm going to head back to the Olympics. There was some excellent figure skting earlier, and I'm also interested in most of the ther sports.
[19:03] <CG> [discord] <evie.delacourt> She's at the age where she is also teething on top of all that, which doesn't help, although she hasn't had any teeth break through yet

[19:03] <HoundMistress> Oh, ear infections are soooo painful and not much you can do for it besides heat.
