Thank you for the chronology, it does help.

Quote from: tmcd on February 23, 2026, 02:14:10 PMEvie, I'll challenge you to a Gay Gordon marathon dance-off!  You go first, and afterwards, I'll see if I can beat your time.

LOL! No thanks! You realize that was more than half a lifetime ago, when I was young and spry?  ;D

It's just my riff on an old joke.

Quote(setup goes here) The farmer says, "Ok Ok...we'll settle this the old way."

"The old way?"

"Yes. We'll take turns kicking each other in the nuts and the first guy who can't take it anymore loses. The winner gets the deer."

The hunter thinks about this and he says, "Ok, let's do it."

The farmer says, "Ok, let me go first." He takes a big wind up and just nails the hunter right in the nuts with his big dirty farmer boots.

The hunter doubles over in pain, huffing and puffing for a few minutes. He finally gets up, still panting and says, "Ok Ok...I'm still in...my turn."

The farmer says, "Nah, you can keep the deer."

Thanks to both of you for clarifying the Joss situation. I was sitting here thinking "Is my memory that bad?"  In fact, it is; this simply isn't proof of it. (I also had to look up the Amina situation, hence a previous reply.)

I would have thought Amina made herself pretty memorable, given that she gave Catalina cause to consider turning her into Nearly Headless Amina!  ;)

Speaking of Joss and his gallantry, has anyone noticed yet that his dance partner is descended from one of my fanfic characters in a Kelson-era story?  ;D

I hadn't but it's good to see the blood runs true☺️

For anyone who hasn't placed her name yet, Anjanice is the direct descendant of Baroness Avisa Moreau (who later became Baroness Avisa Arilan), through her firstborn son Aldwyn by her first husband, Baron Edgar Moreau. Aldwyn inherited the Barony of Kinlochan from his father. Of course, Anjanice is several generations removed, but I suspect she shares some personality similarities with her great-great-something grandma.

Wonderful chapter, Evie!  I love the last two knightings: Devyn much deserved the accolade, and I am so happy that he received it from King Nicholas's hand.  And the knighting of the lovely youngest sister of Llyr, Saoirse, was a delight to witness at the Court of Gwynedd.  I wish both the newly knighted much happiness in their upcoming futures'. And I must admit, I love that Gabrielle is attempting to match-make for her brother.
May your horses have wings and fly!
