Title: KKChat -- 13 February 2005
Post by: Bynw on June 30, 2025, 08:55:15 PM
[17:14] * KK has joined #Deryni_Destinations
[17:14] * KK sets mode: +q KK
[17:14] <DeryniBot> KK has taken the Oaths and has become a member of
the Knights Templars
[17:14] <Sedina> Hi Katherine
[17:14] <Wrengl> hi katherine
[17:14] <babayaga> hi kk
[17:14] <RainbowDragon> Greetings, KK
[17:14] <Debbie-VB> katherine!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[17:14] <the_Bee> hello Katherine!
[17:14] <Mistyck> hi kk
[17:14] <kirienne> I'm sewing some really basic SCA garb, and it's
making me crazy...I have had to undo the stitching 3 times now, I can't
get the curve of the sleeve at the underarm, to cooperate, it bunches
and puckers, no matter how carefully I sew it
[17:14] <Dov> hello kk
[17:14] <ethan> hi katherine!!
[17:14] <Martine> Hi katherine! Huggles!
[17:14] * Wrengl hands katherine a glass to toast thumper's memory
[17:14] <TerryOBrien> Good evening Katherine!
[17:14] <kirienne> Hi Katherine!! Happy Valentines Day
[17:14] <Shiral> Hello Katherine
[17:14] <RainbowDragon> Glad to see you made it :-)
[17:15] * Martine passes the valentines chocolates
[17:15] <KK> Well, a much fuller house this week. The jungle tom-toms
must have told you guys I was back.
[17:15] * Shiral makes sure the chocolates are dark chocolates
[17:15] <kirienne> lol
[17:15] <Wrengl> :)
[17:15] <Martine> Sasha meowed a clue to Arwen ;-)
[17:15] <Tika> lol
[17:15] <Martine> How is the newest Holybrooke kitty settling in?
[17:15] <KK> So <that's> what he was up to. :-)
[17:15] <RainbowDragon> a MUCH fuller house, indeed
[17:15] <Wrengl> and they all came to share the wake for thumper
[17:15] <Shiral> On his kitty Laptop
[17:16] <Bynw> hi KK
[17:16] <Martine> Yes. Had to come and celebrate Thumper's long, happy
life.
[17:16] <KK> He's about 3/4 time now; often sleeps in the basket in the
kitchen for most of the day--and who knows what he's up to at night?
[17:16] <KK> Wake for Thumper?! Don't tell me....
[17:16] <TerryOBrien> Is that indoors or outdoors?
[17:17] <KK> What happened to Thumper?
[17:17] <TerryOBrien> (Where the new cat is at during the night.)
[17:17] <Debbie-VB> How old was thumper pat?
[17:18] <Wrengl> 12 years
[17:18] <Wrengl> he collapsed yesterday, katherine
[17:18] <KK> Well, that's good innings for a dog, but it's still sad.
[17:18] <Wrengl> was paralyzed front and back legs and in a lot of pain
[17:19] <KK> Poor Thumper. I'm so sorry to hear it.
[17:19] <jp> hi, kk
[17:19] <Martine> I think Rowena's pawing the screen in sympathy.
[17:19] <Martine> Well, she's pawing the screen for SOMETHING at least.
[17:20] <kirienne> maybe she is trying to huggle Pat, Martine
[17:20] <Debbie-VB> she probably wants you to pay attention to her
[17:20] <Martine> I think huggles to Pat is the case :-)
[17:21] <KK> Well, I have Gus on my lap tonight. But at least he isn't
"helping" me type--yet.
[17:21] <Martine> If she wants attention, she looks at me and taps me,
not the screen.
[17:21] <Martine> LOL! Rowena will urge him in that direction soon.
[17:21] <Wrengl> katherine, spook kitty told him it was okay, though
[17:21] <RainbowDragon> How goes the construction and the writing, KK?
[17:22] * Debbie-VB was wondering when someone was going to mention the
"W" word
[17:22] <Wrengl> lol debbie
[17:22] <KK> Construction is still in progress, though finishing on
more and more rooms. (But we have yet to vacate the master BR and
bath. Now, <that> will be chaotic.!)
[17:22] * babayaga covers her ears and goes back to banging her head on
her desk at the "W" word
[17:22] <jp> Congrats on selling the Italin rights to the Templar book
[17:22] <jp> Italian
[17:22] <KK> Desk is finally cleared so that I can get back to Childe
Morgan this week.
[17:23] <kirienne> yippieee
[17:23] <Martine> That'll be fun! Which bedroom will you move into
temporarily?
[17:23] <Shiral> That's good
[17:23] <RainbowDragon> hooray!
[17:23] <the_Bee> you mean you're in your bath even as we chat, KK?
[17:23] <kirienne> lol
[17:23] <Martine> Now THAT'S chatting in style! <g>
[17:23] <KK> Italian rights to the Templar book--the Temple ones, I
take it? Or the anthologies?
[17:23] <KK> Front Guest bedroom.
[17:23] <Martine> Especially with champagne and candles...
[17:24] <RainbowDragon> how many more rooms have yet to be completed?
[17:24] <KK> No, I'm in my office.
[17:24] <Martine> Ooo! The one with the Morris wallpaper! I love that
room :-)
[17:24] <jp> a bath in the office, how cool is that
[17:25] <Olympia> hello - I forgot I was online! /doh
[17:25] <KK> Three have yet to be started. Two have to be finished--of
four, if you count the bedroom corridor & landing and the great hall as
rooms.
[17:25] <Martine> lol, nancy!
[17:25] <Debbie-VB> at church we were talking about having a book
discussion group. I tried talking them into discussing In the King's
service
[17:25] <Sedina> lol Nancy
[17:25] <kirienne> any luck Debbie?
[17:25] <Olympia> We got a phone call from my sister-in-law (to be) -
her oldest son is in Children's Hospital in Boston, so we were talking
to her.
[17:26] <Olympia> Hi again everyone - Hi there Miss Kim!
[17:26] <Martine> Nothing serious, I hope.
[17:26] <Sedina> Hello from my own couch :)
[17:26] <Martine> And Miss Kim is FINALLY chatting to us from the
comfort of her home. Hooray!
[17:26] <Debbie-VB> Maybe next, but they wanted to do the DaVinchi code
first
[17:26] <Olympia> Actually fairly serious I'm afraid but y'all have
enough bad news for one day so I will not burden anyone further.
[17:26] <Martine> Own couch with kitties :-)
[17:26] <KK> Hurrah for Sedina's return to home!
[17:27] <Shiral> Home is good, especially after such a prolonged
hospital stay
[17:27] <KK> How old is the child?
[17:27] <Olympia> Absolutely! I told Sedina she needs to write a book!
It's a very inspirational thing! (oh and when she's up to it - we need
cards!)
[17:27] <Sedina> lol
[17:27] <jp> My faith in healing woodgies is growing (more to all who
need them)
[17:28] <KK> And we must remember to give thanks for the healing being
done! This is very important, that we never take these things for
granted. (I'm sure Sedina doesn't!)
[17:28] <Sedina> There's not much I take for granted these days
[17:28] <Martine> Absolutely!
[17:29] <kirienne> yes, it's more important to say prayers of
Thanksgiving, than prayers of gimmie
[17:29] <Shiral> LIke sitting on her own couch and being surrounded by
cats =o)
[17:29] <kirienne> and not getting poked and proded all the time
[17:29] <KK> Every day is a blessing!
[17:29] <Debbie-VB> Since my mum passed, I've not taken much for
granted anymore
[17:29] <Olympia> When I think that my life is dog poop, I think about
the people around me who are having truly not good things happen and
that pretty much ends the pity party right there
[17:29] <Sedina> For the first time in years, I don't have a catheter
of some sort. :)
[17:29] <TerryOBrien> and not having to put up with hospital food
[17:30] <kirienne> that is so wonderful Sedina
[17:30] <Mistyck> that's great to hear Sedina!
[17:30] <Shiral> Sedina's new motto is Cats, not Catheters
[17:30] <Olympia> Whoo hoo! Sedina is no longer a Borg!
[17:30] <Martine> whoo hoo! go kim!
[17:30] <KK> Down with Borgs!
[17:30] <Debbie-VB> so the stem cells are doing their stem-cell thing
now?
[17:30] <Martine> So what's up next on the recovery treatment plan?
[17:30] <Mistyck> hey, for those of you who didn't know, Ryan adopted
another kitty...another calico..we named her Mika
[17:30] <RainbowDragon> You made me think of a question, KK: If a
person vehemently objected to a Deryni healing, would that have an
adverse effect on it or would that matter?
[17:30] <Olympia> Oh speaking of Templars and such, I hope everyone has
watched the trailer for "Kingdom of Heaven"
[17:31] <kirienne> cool Mistyck,
[17:31] <KK> Don't even know what K of H is.
[17:31] <Sedina> I spend the next four weeks working on getting my
strength back and then I head back to Mayo to repeat the whole battery
of tests to find out how things are going
[17:31] <Shiral> Operation muscle tone, Sedina?
[17:31] <KK> If a Healer insisted on doing a healing, it would happen,
whether or not the patient wanted it.
[17:31] <babayaga> ah
[17:31] <babayaga> interesting
[17:32] <Shiral> I shouldn't think TOO many people would object to
being healed
[17:32] <Shiral> Unless it was Loris
[17:32] <KK> If they hated Deryni, they might.
[17:32] <Mistyck> some very anti-deryni humans would
[17:32] <Martine> Some Jehovah's Witness might <g>
[17:32] <Olympia> oh katherine!!!!!!!!! ohhh ohhh ohh it's going to be
amazing!! hang on i'll post the url
[17:32] <Shiral> Their loss <G>
[17:33] <kirienne> the deryni haters would rather be sick, or dead,
than have a Deryni, work their 'evil magic'.
[17:33] <the_Bee> I'd think JW's would appreciate Deryni-style
non-invasive Healing
[17:33] <Debbie-VB> J-dubyas don't object to healing, it's just blood
transfusions
[17:33] <Olympia> http://www.kingdomofheavenmovie.com/
[17:33] * jp I don't remember the Jehovah's in the eleven kingdoms,
must have been in the codex
[17:34] <KK> Maybe. But they might think that Deryni healers are
usurping powers that only God should have.
[17:34] <the_Bee> how would christian scientists feel?
[17:34] <Olympia> huh? There weren't any Jehovah's Witnesses in
Deryniland were there???? I thought everyone celebrated birthdays in
the Eleven Kingdoms!
[17:34] <Shiral> No, there aren't that I'm aware of, Nancy
[17:35] <Olympia> Not all Christian Scientists are opposed to medical
intervention
[17:35] <jp> perhaps Loris got to the witnesses before he started on
the deryni
[17:35] <KK> Christian Scientists might feel that Deryni are simply
drawing upon faith, since they do believe in the power of prayer.
[17:36] <kirienne> lol jp
[17:36] <Dov> what kk said
[17:36] <TerryOBrien> On the other hand, if the healing is presented as
a miracle of faith, then it would be more acceptable. Re: Wencit, if I
am remembering correctly.
[17:37] <Olympia> Re Kingdom of Heaven, for those of you who are
familiar with the Kingdoms of Sicily and Jerusalem, and Sir Guy de
Lusignan, it's that story :)
[17:37] <Olympia> And for Xena fans, Marton Csokas (Borias) plays Guy
de Lusignan :)
[17:38] <RainbowDragon> What I was meaning was whether or not a
non-deryni or even a deranged deryni could create a barrier of a sort
by their emotions/fear/psychic wards etc.
[17:38] <Olympia> It's about Baldwin the Leper King of Jerusalem and
his wife. The downside (for me) is that overly exposed Orlando Bloom is
in it
[17:38] <kirienne> (ooooohhh, Celeborn)
[17:38] <Martine> I'm watching the trailer now :-)
[17:38] <TerryOBrien> (For a moment, I thought that read Guy de
Loambard, from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. <g>)
[17:38] <Olympia> Yep Celeborn but back to his dark gorgeous self
[17:38] <Shiral> orlando bloom is in everything
[17:38] <Olympia> I am pelting you with virtual marshmallows, Terry!
[17:39] <Olympia>
http://www.cypnet.co.uk/ncyprus/history/lusignan/1guydelusignan.htm
[17:39] * jp "truly you are wise, oh tim"
[17:39] <Olympia> I'm sorry - it's Cyprus, not Jerusalem
[17:39] <Shiral> Marton Csokas would make a good Torenthi, though
[17:40] <Martine> Hee hee! He would.
[17:40] <Olympia> omigod. Shiral, you are soooo right
[17:40] <Debbie-VB> sounds like it will be an interesting movie Nancy.

[17:40] <Shiral> I don't know as WHO, exactly. But surely we could
plug him in there somewhere
[17:40] <Martine> So would Hugh Jackman.
[17:40] <Olympia> All I know is that it's Ridley Scott and I cried when
I saw the trailer. Hugh Jackman is too ... nice...
[17:40] <Shiral> He's even of the right basid Earth nationality =o)
[17:40] <Olympia> but cute. very cute.
[17:40] <Shiral> Perhaps Marton would make a good Marluk
[17:41] <Olympia> for those who are into genealogy, Guy de Lusignan is
apparently HRH Williams great-grandfather to the 20th gen back
[17:41] <jp> KK, have you or Scot ever writen a screenplay for any of
the deryni books?
[17:41] <Olympia> Marton would make a good um anything
[17:41] <KK> I shall have to do some further checking on this.
[17:41] <Debbie-VB> Did you hear that Hugh's being considered for the
next Bond?
[17:41] <Martine> lol olympia!
[17:41] <KK> No Deryni screenplays yet.
[17:41] <Martine> Hugh's good, but I'm still annoyed they canned
pierce.
[17:41] <Martine> pierce was great!
[17:41] <Debbie-VB> Please don't let this turn into another casting
discussion
[17:42] <kirienne> lol
[17:42] <Shiral> I think it may be too late, Debbie
[17:42] <ethan> lol
[17:42] <Olympia> Well I like Roger Moore.
[17:42] <KK> Is there much reaction in the US to the recent news of the
engagement of Prince Charles & Camilla?
[17:42] <Olympia> nope
[17:42] <Martine> No reaction, really.
[17:42] <RainbowDragon> not really
[17:42] <Olympia> I think we're sorta bored with all that.
[17:42] <Bynw> only my reaction
[17:42] <Tika> lol
[17:42] <Martine> lol!
[17:42] <jp> Her Royal Horseface
[17:42] <Debbie-VB> some in Canada though
[17:42] <kirienne> none that I'm aware of KK. It was on the cover of
the newspaper for a day, but nothing since
[17:42] <Martine> I don't think many people even know. It hasn't made
big news.
[17:42] <ethan> quite a few calls from the US during Larry Kings
special
[17:43] <Tika> in the news today, Bynw says just skip on to William
please :)
[17:43] <TerryOBrien> The only real Bond was Sean Connery. Brosnan and
Daltan were close.
[17:43] <the_Bee> i agree, terry
[17:43] <Olympia> Timothy Dalton - in his youth was THE PERFECT
Healthcliff (imo)
[17:43] <Olympia> um
[17:43] <Olympia> Heathcliff
[17:43] <ethan> Sorry, Moore was the best Bond
[17:43] <Olympia> Ethan I love you!
[17:43] <ethan> yippee
[17:43] <Tika> I was relieved to see that there will not be a Queen
Camilla (ewwww)
[17:44] <Tika> or Queen Horseface, depending on your point of view :)
[17:44] <KK> Hey, guys, lighten up. She is the great love of his life!
[17:44] <ethan> knew there were a few Moore fans
[17:44] <Martine> I'm with you, katherine.
[17:44] <Shiral> I just hope her phone conversations with Charles won't
be um recorded <G>
[17:44] <Martine> They've obviously stood the test of time.
[17:44] <Shiral> There's such a thing as too much information
[17:44] <TerryOBrien> Queen Horseface and King Jug-ears?
[17:44] <Olympia> I agree with Katherine AND Shiral
[17:44] <Bynw> Very true, but she is butt ugly ... in fact some butts
are a lot better looking
[17:44] <Tika> lol
[17:44] <Shiral> But otherwise, I wish them well
[17:44] <Martine> If they love each other that much, let them have each
other.
[17:44] <Shiral> Quite
[17:44] <Olympia> Bah, Bynw. They are two people who spend a bit too
much time in the sun. Leathery but not ugly.
[17:45] <Tika> lol
[17:45] <RainbowDragon> I get the impression that once the Queen passes
away that Prince Charles will step aside and let William take the
throne
[17:45] <Bynw> see sunlight is bad for you
[17:45] <KK> She isn't ugly; she can look quite pretty. But the press
has made much of always printing the worst photos of her.
[17:45] <Martine> I'm not so sure, RD.
[17:45] <Martine> Right. I've seen some pretty nice photos of her, and
not official touched-up types, either.
[17:45] <KK> Charles will never step aside; he's waited too long.
[17:45] <Olympia> She reminds me of my aunt who is a bit of an
outdoorswoman (fosters golden retrievers)
[17:45] <Shiral> Too right!
[17:45] <Martine> Prince Charles has spent his entire life looking for
a purpose, just "waiting".
[17:45] <Olympia> I would say that Camilla is a handsome woman in the
British sense
[17:46] <Shiral> Heh, Olympia. My Aunt has three golden Retrievers and
an Australian Shepherd!
[17:46] <Martine> I don't think he'll just fade away into the
background when his opportunity to step up to the plate arrives.
[17:46] <Olympia> Katherine is probably going to kill me for telling
you this, but *I* always thought that Prince Charles should have
married HER
[17:46] <KK> I understand that she's much more attractive in person
than when photographed.
[17:46] <babayaga> the Queen should take a lesson from the Japanese and
retire
[17:46] <Martine> rotfl, nancy!
[17:46] <Shiral> Lots of people don't photograph
[17:46] <Shiral> well
[17:46] <Shiral> Diana photographed VERY well, but she and Charles were
clearly not soulmates
[17:47] <Martine> Their marriage seemed rather arranged to me.
[17:47] <KK> The Japanese never retire, and neither will the
Queen--who, unline all the other European royals, is anointed in a
religious ceremony. The job is for life.
[17:47] <Wrengl> kathi and i were glad charles was finally marrying
camilla
[17:47] <babayaga> beg to differ--the tradition with the Emperors was
to retire
[17:47] <Olympia> With all due respect, Katherine, didn't the Emperor
step aside for the Crown Prince of Japan many years ago?
[17:47] <babayaga> "cloistered" was the term
[17:48] <Martine> I thought he stepped aside from duty, but not title?
[17:48] <Shiral> But I agree, I think the Queen will stay Queen all her
life
[17:48] <babayaga> title, but perhaps not influence
[17:48] <KK> I don't think so. And think about how things would be if
Diana hadn't been killed when she was. Her looks were already going,
her life was a mess, and she'd probably be Mrs. Dodi Fayed, with
several little half-siblings for William and Harry.
[17:48] <Olympia> I just wish the Queen of England had employed a
haberdasher who wasn't so fond of foofy purple feathers
[17:49] <kirienne> lol olympia
[17:49] <Martine> lol!
[17:49] <KK> That was the Queen Mother, with the foofy feathers.
[17:49] <Olympia> SHE could wear anything!
[17:49] <Olympia> Sometimes I feel that Queen Elizabeth's hats wear her
[17:49] <Debbie-VB> The Queen Mum was cool
[17:49] <Martine> And I think if Diana had lived to marry Dodi Fayed,
it would have been just as ill-fated as her marriage to Charles.
[17:49] <Shiral> She's come up with some interesting hats, yeah
[17:50] <KK> Remember that she's of a generation when the women wore
hats--especially women who have to be instantly recognizable and in a
croud.
[17:50] <Wrengl> indeed
[17:50] <Shiral> Very true
[17:50] <ethan> I kind of like the hats any way
[17:50] <Wrengl> so do i
[17:50] <Shiral> She also came from a generation where royals did NOT
divorce--they were stuck, no matter how unhappy the marriage
[17:50] <KK> She also will never wear a hat that at all obscures her
face. The people need to he able to see her.
[17:50] <Wrengl> as long as i do not have to wear one!
[17:51] <Shiral> I can't see any benefit to forcing unhappy people to
stay married
[17:51] <Shiral> A hat can be instantly recognizable, and not obscure
the face, and still be attractive, though =o)
[17:51] <KK> I agree. And a happy Charles is much more apt to be a
good king, when the time comes.
[17:52] <kirienne> I would think that would be the case
[17:52] <jp> If this is research to see how we'd react to Kelsons mum
getting re-married, maybe to a certain blind deryni, then it's a bit
obvious
[17:52] <Martine> Absolutely!
[17:52] <KK> Most of the Queen's hats <are> attractive. But no one
gets it right <all> the time.
[17:52] <ethan> unfortunate as it may be people of high station are
always held to higher standards
[17:52] <Shiral> This is true
[17:52] <Martine> LOL jp! I don't think anyone's heavily opposed to
that. At least in this room ;-)
[17:52] <Bynw> not i
[17:52] <KK> I agree, Ethan.
[17:52] <kirienne> noe I
[17:52] <Debbie-VB> But will they let him be king? IIRC his
great-uncle had to abdicate the throne to marry a divorcee
[17:52] <kirienne> nor even
[17:52] <Martine> That was a far different time, Debbie.
[17:53] <Mistyck> nor i, jp
[17:53] <Shiral> Yes, but that was in the 30's
[17:53] <Martine> IIRC, polls showed that a far majority of Brits favor
the marriage now.
[17:53] <Shiral> And Wallis herself was a divorcee
[17:53] <Tika> well that one was an American divorcee too
[17:53] <Tika> not British, a commoner
[17:53] <KK> That was a long time ago. And Wallis had been divorced
twice.
[17:53] <Shiral> My grandfather named his SPringer Spaniel Wallis
[17:54] <Martine> Now *that's* interesting....
[17:54] <Mistyck> wasn't she Duchess of Cornwall also?
[17:54] <Martine> http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/page149.asp
[17:54] <KK> Duchess of Windsor.
[17:54] <Martine> It's the overview page for members of the British
royal family - the official site.
[17:54] <Mistyck> ah, ok
[17:54] <Martine> Look who's in the most prominent picture!
[17:54] <Shiral> Wallis's markings recalled the very particular way in
which Mrs. Simpson wore her hair <G>
[17:54] <Martine> And it's *not* the queen.
[17:55] <Martine> That's changed since the engagement was announced!
[17:55] <jp> I have to say nighty-night, will try to make it next
Sunday
[17:55] <Tika> the most prominent picture I see is a beautiful corgi :)
[17:55] <Shiral> night, jp
[17:55] * jp has left #Deryni_Destinations
[17:55] <ethan> bye jp
[17:55] <KK> The pundits are predicting that the wedding ensemble will
be peach, which is Camilla's favorite color.
[17:56] <kirienne> I would think she'd want her favorite color to be
part of it
[17:56] <KK> And there will probably be different outfits for the civil
ceremony on Friday evening and the church blessing on the Saturday.
[17:56] <KK> And maybe a third one for the reception.
[17:56] <kirienne> yes, the tailors are probably already busy
[17:57] <Shiral> I think Camilla will be able to swing two bridal
outfits <G>
[17:57] <ethan> I probably missed it but I was wondering if the princes
had officially made a statement
[17:57] <KK> Still, 8 weeks isn't long to plan a royal wedding.
[17:57] <KK> The princes are said to be all in favor of it.
[17:57] <TerryOBrien> Will this be a full-blown State affair? With
visiting monarchs and ambassadors?
[17:57] <KK> Don't know.
[17:57] <kirienne> maybe it has been quietly in the works for awhile
now
[17:58] <KK> Well, it's certainly something Charles has wanted for a
very long time.
[17:58] <Shiral> Wonder if it will be at St. Paul's...
[17:58] <Martine> I'm sure it has been, but not too much could have
been in the works.
[17:58] <KK> Windsor Castle.
[17:58] <ethan> I keep hearing that, just wondered if there had been
any direct statements
[17:58] <Martine> Hire all the designers/florists/tailors/ etc., and
things leak.
[17:58] <KK> St. George Chapel for the church blessing.
[17:58] <Shiral> Ah... well I'm behind the curve
[17:58] <kirienne> I'm thinking the decisions about colors, flowers,
etc
[17:58] <Debbie-VB> It probably wont be at the St. Pauls I'm familiar
with
[17:58] <Tika> I did hear it will be a civil ceremony
[17:58] <Martine> Windsor Castle because it's a civil ceremony.
[17:58] <Shiral> That's why royalty have large staffs <G>
[17:58] <Tika> lol bad, wicked Shiral
[17:59] <Martine> lol, shiral! ;-)
[17:59] <TerryOBrien> I'll bet there were people planning it (in their
heads) for years. Practice, after all. Maybe all they had to do was
change the names to Charles.
[17:59] <Shiral> It really helps though, if you're trying to put
together a royal wedding fast
[17:59] <KK> Civil ceremony at the castle, church blessing in St.
George's Chapel at Windsor, which is the Garter Chapel.
[18:00] <kirienne> Kelsons wedding was put together somewhat hastily
<g>
[18:00] <Olympia> What will her title be?
[18:00] <RainbowDragon> Why won't it be a church ceremony?
[18:00] <Olympia> Because she is divorced and her husband is still
alive
[18:00] <Dov> she will be princess consort
[18:00] <kirienne> because they are both divorced RD
[18:00] <RainbowDragon> ahhh
[18:00] <Shiral> Well, they never took down the decorations from
Richelle's and Rory's weddings the week before, Kirienne <G>
[18:00] <Martine> When Charles is king, she'll be HRH The PRincess
Consort.
[18:00] <Martine> I haven't read what she'll be immediately after the
wedding.
[18:00] <Olympia> Married
[18:00] <kirienne> that made it really handy Shiral,
[18:00] <ethan> She will be HRH Duchess of Cornwall I believe
[18:00] <Olympia> l)
[18:01] <Dov> right
[18:01] <Debbie-VB> Mrs chuck windsor
[18:01] <Martine> rotfl debbie
[18:01] <Shiral> I suppose they got in some fresh flowers, though <G>
[18:01] <KK> It doesn't matter that Charles is divorced, because he's
also a widower.
[18:01] <Mistyck> yeah
[18:01] <kirienne> yes, mainly because her ex is living
[18:01] <Mistyck> that made it easier for him
[18:02] <kirienne> it will be fun to read anout Brion and Jehanna's
wedding
[18:02] <kirienne> about even
[18:02] <Shiral> I agree, Kirienne <G>
[18:02] <Shiral> Any ideas about that, Katherine?? <G>
[18:02] <Martine> lol!
[18:02] <ethan> I am looking forward to that
[18:02] <KK> Apparently the presiding bishop of the Church of Scotland
would have married them in church--that's where Princess Anne went to
remarry. And this may have helped sway the Archbishop of Canterbuty to
say that he'd give them a church blessing.
[18:03] <kirienne> there is a woman at work named Johanna, I often
mistakenly call her Jehanna <g>
[18:03] <the_Bee> will we meet Jehana's brother, Ryol?
[18:03] <Shiral> Must be an interesting experience for her, Kirienne
<G>
[18:03] <kirienne> she of course has no clue about the meaning
[18:04] <KK> We'll see Brion and Jehana's wedding, and meet Ryol.
[18:04] <Shiral> =o)
[18:04] <the_Bee> :o)
[18:04] <Debbie-VB> You should clue her in Kirienne
[18:04] <kirienne> I had to re-do the anniversary gift certificate I
made for her at the last employee appreication luncheon
[18:04] <RainbowDragon> Will we discover why Jehana is so anti-Deryni
considering her ancestry?
[18:05] <kirienne> I caught it about 20 minutes before I had to give
the certificates to the MC of the luncheon
[18:05] <the_Bee> ooops!
[18:05] <Debbie-VB> better then 20 minutes after
[18:05] <KK> Yike, it's Pumpkin Time, guys, and I've got to get up in

caught up in Eastern European hunk princes <g>
[18:07] <Shiral> I've never met a mornign person I didn't find annoying
