Takes up too much space, and is too hard to maintain.

Midnight Hour, about a radio talk-show host who gets call-ins from
supernatural creatures and is, herself, a werewolf. It's really
clever.

electrical properties in the air are peaky (common in Alabama and
Florida) you get lousy signal strength. Cable-run length makes a huge
difference, too.
