Kim's fund

Funeral services for Kim C. Bergman-Warriner, age 28 of Grand Forks formerly of Bottineau were held on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church in Bottineau. Officiating at the service was the Reverend Kari Foss. Elaine Freeman was the organist and Nancy Olson was the pianist. Natasha Halvorson sang My Immortal and You Raise Me Up. Special music was also provided by the Camp Metigoshe Staff and the First Lutheran Folk Singers. Casket bearers were Paul Boettcher, Allen Boettcher, Corey Dubal, Jeff Bergman, DaShaun Carter and Jill Poitra. Honorary casket bearers were all of Kim's cousins. Burial was at the Oak Creek Cemetery in Bottineau.

Kim Bergman-Warriner, a daughter of Ralph Bergman and Janice (Campbell) Bergman, was born on September 22, 1976 in Bottineau, North Dakota. She was raised there and graduated from Bottineau High School in 1995. She then attended Concordia College at Moorhead, Minnesota where she graduated in 1999. She returned to Bottineau and worked at Minot State University—Bottineau as a technician for the Interactive Video Network (IVN). She later moved to Grand Forks and was an IVN technician at University of North Dakota. She subsequently worked at an accounting firm until she retired due to illness.

On August 13, 2005 she married Cole Warriner on the Bergman family farm near Bottineau.

Kim was a member of the First Lutheran Church at Bottineau. She was a member of the Camp Metigoshe staff for many years. Kim was also very active in the Relay for Life and the Bottineau Community Theatre. Kim was also a proud member and moderator of Deryni Destinations, an internet chat group dedicated to friends and fans of Katherine Kurtz, the New York Times best selling author of the Deryni series.

Kim passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at a Grand Forks hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Cole; father, Ralph Bergman of Bottineau; mother, Jan Bergman of Grand Forks; one sister, Keely Bergman of Fargo; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Rhea, and grandparents, Otto and Elizabeth Bergman.
